Saddle is happy to announce a deep integration with popular stablecoin provider Frax Finance by launching 13 new base pools and meta pools across various blockchains 🚀🌕.

FRAXBP — Frax Base Pool: The New Standard for Stability

As you might already know, Frax is a fractionally-algorithmic stablecoin. Frax has over $1.6b, TVL, deployed over 14 chains. Saddle and Frax’s partnership goes way back, culminating with our popular D4 pool. This partnership will take a monumental step forward with Saddle and Frax will be partnering to the announcement of Saddle’s launch of several new base pools and meta pools across Saddle across 4 different chains. These pools include:

Ethereum:

  1. saddleFRAXBP, (FRAX, USDC)
  2. saddleFRAXUSDT, (saddleFRAXBP, USDT)
  3. saddleFRAXsUSD, (saddleFRAXBP, sUSD) [Synthetix]
  4. saddleFRAXalUSD, (saddleFRAXBP, alUSD)

Optimism:

  1. saddleFRAXBP, (FRAX, USDC)
  2. saddleFRAXUSDT, (saddleFRAXBP, USDT)
  3. saddleFRAXsUSD, (saddleFRAXBP, sUSD) [Synthetix]

Arbitrum:

  1. saddleFRAXBP, (FRAX, USDC)
  2. saddleFRAXUSDT, (saddleFRAXBP, USDT)
  3. saddleFRAXUSDs, (saddleFRAXBP, USDs) [Sperax]

Fantom:

  1. saddleFRAXBP, (FRAX, USDC)
  2. saddleFRAXUSDT, (saddleFRAXBP, USDT)
  3. saddleFRAXalUSD, (saddleFRAXBP, alUSD)

These pools will be added to the Saddle, and Frax gauges pending governance votes.

First Saddle gauge vote starts tomorrow (Weds Jun 29th). The results and SDL emissions will be reflected in pools and gauges the following week, next Weds, Jul 6.

In a market where stablecoins are losing their pegs left and right, FRAX has proven itself resilient in the face of unprecedented volatility. This has reaffirmed the DeFi community’s trust in FRAX as a reliable, decentralized stablecoin.

So algorithmic, such stable.


Given FRAX’s proven robustness, alongside some uncertainty around other stablecoins, both centralized and decentralized, Saddle and Frax are moving forward to make the new standard for the stablecoin basepair to be FRAX and USDC. This new basepool will be launched in tandem with several meta pools of other trusted partners such as Synthetix, Alchemix, and Sperax on chains where their stables are available.
